  Activity Area

amid the Nantahala Forest and Great Mountains of Western North Carolina

Home was architecturally designed for the location and the elements of the four seasons.  Built by the most reputable builder in the area and materials hand selected by him to meet the job specs.  Well maintained, the new has not worn off.  The home, building and land have features not found in other properties.

Private, but not remote, located in Swain County and the Nantahala Forest, access from the NC Scenic By Way (Hwy 28) between Bryson City and Franklin.

This FACILITY & SITE were built for Carolina Water Tank, which manufactured water system products.  Premises, along with the home office could be used for a business.

Built entirely of concrete and steel.  Measurements of the building are 49' 4" length, 25' 4" width and 16' height of flat roof (bar joist / pan / poured concrete) with a skylight.  Access by a passage door (steel) and two large (10' x 10') roll up overhead doors (steel).  Building has (60amp / 240volt / single-phase) electrical service, industrial lighting, water supply, toilet, phone extension, radiant heating system and video system with audio connected to house.

Located next to road, with on site parking for vehicles and trailers, never a problem of getting in or out.  There is electric, water, security light and amply parking for large RV.

NOTE:  Original cost of this industrial structure was not used to determine resale value of the building in the real estate listed.  Building cost of  a much simpler type was used to determent pricing.

When the home's site was picked, windows became important not to limit the view of the surroundings.  Every room has one or more large double window. each with an unobstructed view of days events.  Open a window and invite nature's sounds (birds, creek, breeze) and the smell clean air with a scent of the latest blossoms in bloom.  Living on a second floor and looking down on creations is overwhelming at times.

The Parlor, where visitors are welcome.

Accesses from Marr Creek to home and workshop are separate, neither in view of the other.

Side Yard (south)                                         Rear Yard(west)

River rock borders, pebble pathways and large decorative stepping stones ring the home.  A narrow planted area of small trees, plants, flowers, large rocks extend to the banks edge and flow into the natural landscape.  Mother nature takes care of her side and we prune ours.  We do not own a lawn mower.
